Buying a ten year old used DSLR at a time when DSLRs are quickly being replaced by mirrorless cameras, but despite it's age, the Nikon D800 is still a fantas 80. Great images, great battery life, a top-notch movie mode and excellent usability – the Nikon D780 gets pretty much everything right for the price. Most importantly, the images it makes are Is the Nikon D750 still worth buying in 2022. The Nikon D750 is an ergonomically excellent, tank-like, photo-taking machine. It’s immediate, responsive, and just gets on with the job. If you still love the F-mount and an optical viewfinder, the Nikon D750 remains an outstanding choice. But for everyone else, the world has moved on. That leaves the D700. I don't need video. Used D700s range from $1000 (for a well worn example with a lot of actuations) up to brand new units selling for $3600 or so. This goes against the common wisdom of not buying older tech in today's world, where nothing stays current very long. A low mileage D700 will still cost more than a new D600. If you are reading this you are probably thinking about buying a Nikon D750, perhaps a new one (if you can find one) or a second hand one. Good idea!
