Canon RF 24-105mm: Early Verdict. The Canon RF 24-105mm f/2.8 IS USM Z, the first in a proposed series of new hybrid lenses, has made an impressive debut, and many a photographerâs long-held desire for a 24-105mm lens with a constant f/2.8 aperture has finally been fulfilled.
I've sold my lenses and my 5d mark iv , next week i will be buying a canon R6 and my plan was as a first lens to go for the rf 24-70 f2.8 and after probably after a few months my 2nd RF lens was going to be the RF 70-200 f2.8 , and in the future maybe an RF 50 f1,2L or the 85mm f1.2L if it gets a cheaper

1 day ago ¡ I chose it over the 28-70 because it was smaller and lighter. The 24-105 Z is very attractive because it's an internal zoom. Its nearly pound heavier, and almost 3 inches longer than the RF 24-70 f2.8. Worth a look. 24-105Z manual. Fun Facts: You cannot use an extender
Hello Canon Forum People here my post to ask an opinion about something that hasn't been mentioned in any review, forum or discussion. I am a happy owner of a 24-70 F2.8 (mark I) since many years. has been a gr8 companion in combination with the 70-200 F2.8 Although with years i am getting ti

Currently I use 15-35 for landscapes/astros and 70-200 for stills and portraits. However Iâm missing the kit range which is good for events and some landscapes. After reading reviews online I narrowed my choices to 28-70/f2. 24-70/f2.8 and 50/f1.2. Some apparent pros and cons for my use case: 28-70/2.0: Pros: versatile and large aperture
Details. Excellent optical performance with consistent f/2.8 maximum aperture throughout the zoom range of 24â105mm. Supports either of two optional Canon Power Zoom Adapters, enabling smooth, high- precision zoom control during movie shooting. Having the EF 24-105 F4 and the 24-70 F2.8 and the extra-length vs faster lens dilemma. Often took both for FOMO. Used the 24-105 outdoors and the 24-70 indoors. Now there is the RF 28-70mm F2 vs the RF 24-105 F2.8 dilemma. Both are a tank of a lens. RF 28-70mm F2: 1.43 kg RF 24-105mm F2.8: 1.33 kg
On November 2 Canon will announce three new lenses. And one of them is a lens that has never been done before: Canon RF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM; Canon RF 24-105mm f/2.8L IS USM Z; Canon RF 200-800mm f/6.3-9 IS; The only thing that comes close to that 24-105mm f/2.8 is the very old Tamron 28-105mm f/2.8. via MirrorlessRumors via TheCameraInsider.
Canon advertises this lens as having the same performance as the RF 24-70 f/2.8 but with the added range. The MTF charts seem to support this, and look very good considering that this is a 4x zoom. Here are the charts for the new 24-105 f/2.8 compared to the RF 24-105 f/4 and the RF 24-70 f/2.8 (top to bottom):
There is the RF 24-70 f/2.8L IS, RF 24-105 f/4-7.1 IS STM and the RF 24-105mm f/4L IS. Adding a 4th lens to this range just doesnât feel likely. It does remind us of the EF 24-70 f/4L IS Macro, a lens a lot of people thought didnât make sense with the overlap, but actually turned out to be a pretty popular lens.
RF 24-105mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z. The RF24-105mm F2.8 L IS USM Z is the worldâs first 24-105mm focal length lens combined with consistent f/2.8 aperture. With its constant f/2.8 max aperture, full-frame coverage, and its ability to zoom past the traditional 70mm roadblock to a true portrait-length 105mm, this lens is an incredible standard zoom
With eleven aperture blades and a large f/2.8 aperture, the RF24-105mm F2.8 L IS USM Z produces a beautiful, almost circular bokeh effect â even when stopped-down. The wide aperture also allows for faster shutter speeds in low light situations and helps prevent subject blurs.
